Off grid solar would typically involve batteries for periods of time without sunlight and grid tied often will not have batteries. That’s not to say they can’t and “Lone Wolf” will always recommend batteries for storing excess energy produced by your system to be used later.

Absolutely, we recommend it actually. You get full benefit from a system that runs off of what you produce and can store yourself. “Lone Wolf” will always recommend and encourage you to size a system to power your needs full time so you never have to pay another electric bill.

The time frames for when your install will happen can vary depending on several factors. This includes if you need permitting or not or what time of year it is. Some portions of the year are more busy than others. For instance, late summer is often very busy as people want to get their systems before winter. We can typically get you scheduled within a month if permitting is not necessary, two if you need permitting.

Not generally, but there will be maintenance associated with the system that includes the cleaning of solar panels and cleaning the air filters on the inverters periodically to maintain efficiency. If your panels are on ground mounts you will want to keep them free of overgrowth and shading. “Lone wolf” does offer plans paid yearly to clean panels and perform maintenance associated with the system for those that don’t want to do it themselves.
